The China High School Basketball League Gets Its Own Nike Zoom GT Cut Academy PE

There’s something about basketball in the high-school ranks that make it that much more competitive. A team of maybe a dozen athletes can represent a larger group of people concentrated in one region, so the stakes and the bragging rights are that much greater. The China High School Basketball League is an exemplar of that heightened competition, and Nike’s direct involvement in the circuit helped it expand from 84 teams to nearly quadruple that in the present day.

That said, Nike is ready for the upcoming May event with a special edition made just for the huge championship showdown. The budget-friendly Zoom GT Cut Academy acts as a canvas for this PE-like design as it features the CHBL logos and signage on the tongue (the face and its rear side). Communicating the pressure of the game is the message on the right shoe — “One Shot In A Lifetime”.

The Nike Zoom GT Cut Academy “CHBL” is currently available now in Asia and will likely be exclusive to the Greater China region.

In other hoops news, peep the first look at LaMelo Ball’s fourth shoe, the PUMA MB.04.
