Eric “Shake” James Spotlights Milwaukee On The adidas Rivalry Low “414 Day”

“Area code” days across the country present an opportunity for a city’s residents to celebrate what makes their hometown so great, and increasingly, sneakers are a canvas to express that. What we last saw with the 404-specific Atlanta Nike Air Max 95 continues as we head up north. CLICKS founder Eric “Shake” James is teaming up with the Three Stripes, bringing the 414 Day celebration of Milwaukee to the adidas Rivalry Low.

NBA fans will immediately recognize the influence behind the palette here, cladding the Three Stripes branding and details throughout in Milwaukee Bucks red and green. The overarching off-white notes are a nod to the “Cream City” moniker, with the cheese wedge decal towards the heel reflected in gold hits throughout. Those with a keen eye will spot the brick and mortar pattern on the tongue, but the tags there contain the real intrigue, alternating cheese and beer patterns that nod to Wisconsin’s main culinary squeezes. Beers & brats dot the insole, where a bonafide buffet is overlaid over a state map. As a final personal touch, two included hangtags depict a microphone in hand, a nod to Shake’s RUN DMC connections that run decades deep.

While the shoes of course lead the story for us, their release isn’t the most significant event James is sponsoring for 414 Day. He hosted a footwear design workshop alongside Wood U on April 11th, and tonight will host a release party featuring none other than Lil Kim, performing with Brooklyn Queen.

The adidas Rivalry Low “414” will drop in-store at CLICKS and online at clickskicks.net, retailing for $130. Enjoy official promo images just ahead.

Elsewhere on the Three Stripes slate, the TMNT collection continues via the Master Splinter adidas Superstar.
