It doesn’t matter what brand Concepts works with — the results are always a banger. In 2012, they introduced the “SEAL” on the New Balance 999, displaying an aesthetic of Sea, Air, and Land via grey, blue, and khaki shades with an elevation map lining the interior. For 2024, it appears that they’re reviving that concept on the New Balance 1906U, the utility-grade variation of the ever-popular 1906R model.
This photo shared by Deon Point, the creative maestro behind Concepts’ most applause-worthy collaborations, reveals the tech runner model boasting its the familiar mix of tones seen in the Navy division of the US Armed Forces. The same blue, tan, and stone grey shades embody the multi-layered construction of the 1906U, while a glimpse of the same elevation map pattern is seen on the insoles.
