First Look At The Nike KD 4 “Aunt Pearl” Retro

An iconic colorway returns for the first time since 2011.

First Look At The Nike KD 4 “Aunt Pearl” Retro

Kevin Durant’s signature sneaker line is one of the most successful in history, and while the Nike KD 17 continues building on a well-established legacy, sneakerhead discourse surrounding the Easy Money Sniper has revolved primary around the first ever Nike KD 4 retro run. Several iconic colorways appear on the Sneaker Release Dates 2024 calendar, and while opinions are subjective, you could argue that Nike’s saving the best for last.

Images posted by @solesbyzay_backup showcase the Nike KD 4 “Aunt Pearl” retro for Holiday 2024, and thankfully for those familiar with the original 2011 pair, there’s not anything new to report from a design standpoint. Much like the re-released “Galaxy” and “Weatherman” colorways, the “Aunt Pearl” design theme is presented without alteration, although hidden performance upgrades are a possibility.

A consistent theme across several signature models, Kevin Durant’s “Aunt Pearl” sneakers tribute his late aunt Pearl Williams and former basketball coach Kay Yow, both of whom battled cancer. The KD 4 was the first Kevin Durant shoe to sport the theme, although the KD 3 “Aunt Pearl” would later release in 2023, thirteen years after the model’s initial debut.

Official images and a firm release date should arrive in the near future, but for now, enjoy detailed shots of the Nike KD 4 “Aunt Pearl” for Holiday 2024 below.

Sticking with the Slim Reaper, check out the Nike KD 17 “USA” complete with safari print treatments.
