“Iron Grey” Drapes This Gloomy Air Jordan 1 Low

A total grayscale treatment dovetails into a classier look.

“Iron Grey” Drapes This Gloomy Air Jordan 1 Low

Only second to the Nike Dunk (& SB Dunk, relatedly), the Air Jordan 1 Low is often utilized as a playful palette for Beaverton creatives to go wild with. The onslaught of shoes like the “Paw Print” Jordan 1 Low or “Let’s Play” kids’ edition can sometimes distract from the model’s classic origins, its default look truly being simplified, vintage basketball outfits. While it may be a bit darker than anyone’s alma mater, the silhouette is returning to that layout in the “Iron Grey” colorway at hand.

Your eyes aren’t deceiving you in the shots included; this shoe is the ultimate embrace of the greyscale, turning down the contrast to near-zero as pastes the titular metallic shade on the overlays. It’s matched tonally by pure white on the midsole & leather underpinnings and nocturnal hits chiefly centered on the branding; jet black drapes the rear Wings logo and the Swoosh. Though the aforementioned eccentric outfits always work on the Jordan 1 Low, this colorway elucidates how it can pull off a classier look as well when Beaverton creatives deploy it this way.

The Air Jordan 1 Low “Iron Grey” is expected to release shortly via Nike.com & partnering retailers- anticipate a $115 retail price upon arrival.
