adidas Taps Gunna To Debut The Aruku In London

Capitalizing on the energy surrounding London’s WIRELESS Festival, adidas Originals called on Gunna to officially introduce its latest new model to the world.

The Adizero Aruku is said to be inspired by Japanese streetwear aesthetics and aims to blur the line between traditional performance footwear and urban fashion. Notably, the name means “to walk” in English.

A lifestyle shoe for all intents and purposes, the Aruku features a tall stack height by way of an oversized, chunky midsole. The upper is comprised of a mesh base, slim TPU overlays, and naturally, stripes and adidas branding at the quarter and heel, respectively. Gunna broke out a red and white pair in London before taking a trip to Berlin for Euro Cup Final matchup between England and Spain, where he flaunted a never-before-seen all-black colorway.

Sneakerheads will have to exercise patience as the shoes are set to arrive sometime in 2025, but the fact that adidas has already unveiled the shoes suggests there could be more notable marketing initiatives in the meantime. In any case, enjoy detailed images of the Adizero Aruku posted by @arab_lincoln below as anticipation grows.
