The New Balance 550 “Sea Salt” Pack Releases Tomorrow

Since resurfacing from the archives with the help of Aimé Leon Dore, the New Balance 550 has become a highly-coveted silhouette among savvy and casual sneaker enthusiasts alike. Its high-quality construction and vintage sensibility have assisted in its rise to stardom, but so has its color combinations. Tomorrow, the model releases in three “Sea Salt” arrangements accompanied by “Black,” “Yellow” and “Burgundy” flair.

As was the case in 1989, New Balance‘s vintage basketball sneaker features a bevy of premium leather overlays throughout its upper. Soft suede delivers reinforcement around the toe, while proffering another touch of quality to each pair. Akin to Teddy Santis’ collaborative takes thus far, titular tones animate everything from the profile “N” logos to the “NB” branding on the heel, rounding out the New Balance shoes‘ made-for-the-hardwood tread. Midsoles don’t indulge in a purposely-“aged” aesthetic but boast an off-white arrangement that some collectors will surely “yellow” for some ’89 charm.
