Grey-Colored Overlays Cover This Nike Air Force 1 Low

As the world waits for its high-profile collaborations to drop, the Nike Air Force 1 Low continues to celebrate 40 years of Bruce Kilgore’s original design with a string of general releases.

Recently, the made-for-basketball silhouette emerged in a three-tone colorway indulging in color-blocking from the early aughts. An off-white “Sail” hue sets the stage for contrasting grey and black colors, with the former tone appearing via overlays around the forefoot, along the tongue and across the heel. Oft-imitated sole units underfoot also follow a similar color combination, though the aforementioned pitch-dark hue is isolated to the top-half. The Air Force 1 has accomplished a lot since 1982, and while the latest take on Kilgore’s creation is seemingly a nod to styles like the “Acorn” one that dropped in 2002, it still feels fresh decades later.

No firm Nike.com launch date has been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change soon. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.

For more from under the NIKE, Inc. umbrella, check out the Air Jordan 6 “Georgetown” expected to debut in September.
