Detachable Gaiters Prepare The Nike Air Max Scorpion For Harsh Weather

Upon its debut during the last few days of 2021, the Nike Air Max Scorpion — which is the brand’s first sneaker designed entirely during the pandemic — seemed unfit for the outdoors. But with its newest offering, the silhouette is making a strong case for the contrary, as it comes fitted in its very own rain jacket.

The base shoe itself, though, is par for the course, constructed of the same knit materials used on many a prior colorway. Here, though, these weaves are clad in an attractive, grey-dominant palette, which complements the light and deep browns that mark the adjacent trims and outsole, respectively. What’s standout about the pair is the included, detachable gaiter, whose extremely tall, zipper-fastened construction makes it a perfect barrier to harsh, tumultuous weather.

In other news, the Nike SB Air Jordan 4 is releasing this March.
