The Nike Air Max 1 continues to play an important part of the brand’s roster of products, being the subject of collaborations, special projects, and other types of releases.

With fall underway, Tinker Hatfield’s iconic design from 1987 has emerged in several muted ensembles to match the year’s grayer months. The latest take features traditional color-blocking across the upper and sole unit, with “Smokey Mauve” claiming important real estate all-throughout. Suede colored in with the pale purple hue wraps around the upper’s lower-half and also appears in the form of swooshes on the profiles. Additional branding on the tongue label and spine also indulge in “Smokey Mauve” flair, expanding the original Air Max silhouette’s legacy. Midsoles prefer a tamer arrangement, but the waffle-patterned traction bring some of the upper’s stark contrast underfoot.

Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, and expect a nike.com release soon.

In related sneaker news, the Air Jordan 11 “Gratitude” launches in early December.
