The Nike Air Max Sunder “Fuchsia Flash” Launches On August 8th

High-vis accents help the Sunder gain a foothold two decades later.

The Nike Air Max Sunder “Fuchsia Flash” Launches On August 8th

One of the crown jewels of the two most recent SNKRS preview showcases, the Nike Air Max Sunder is finally on the precipice of its long-awaited return. With the Air Max Sunder “Canyon Gold” hitting shelves on July 11th, we’re starting to get more details around the follow-up effort, a high-energy pair in “Fuchsia Flash.”

To be clear, this is a shoe we’ve seen before in the brand’s late 2023 look-ahead; thus, much of the composition here lines up with what we expected. The Sunder’s foremost design features, from the zip-up close to the reflective TPU panels that encircle the lower half of the upper remain in place. Visually, the palette relies on the same sort of blueprint as the “Canyon Gold,” pasting a high-octane contrast shade on the fabric exterior and on the visible Air at the heel. The rest of the real estate is handled by a staid combination of greyscale coloring.

This edition and the comeback effort for the Air Max Sunder in general offers a chance to re-establish a turn-of-the-century rarity, part and parcel of the “Cult Classics” approach of the past year and change. The Nike Air Max Sunder “Fuschia Flash” lands on August 8th, retailing for $180.
