First Look At The Futura x Nike Jam Breakdancing Shoe

After cooking up a Nike SB Dunk Low collaboration earlier this year under his Futura Laboratories wing, the globally renowned artist Futura now directs his attention to one of the more enticing new sports taking the Olympic stage – breakdancing. For the second-ever breakdancing events at the Olympics, Nike will debut the Nike Jam sneaker catered specifically to street acrobats.

The Nike Jam, which was officially unveiled at Nike’s On Air event in Paris, features unique tooling made to the exact specifications of breakdancing. The most notable details of the Jam is the upside-down Swoosh logo at the midsole, which appears upright at times during the various maneuvers on stage.

Where Futura comes in is via his signature art motif on the insole, the interior lining, and the pull-tabs at the heel where a variety of blots and sprays in pinks, red, orange, and concord purple appear. The Nike brand is featured at the heel in the distinct typeface seen across all his works.

A release date for the Futura x Nike Jam has not yet been revealed, but with two colorways of this Nike breakdancing shoe are confirmed to drop on July 24th, we can certainly expect this collaboration to be available around the Opening Ceremony taking place later this month.
