Ewing Athletics Retros Patrick Ewing’s 1992 Dream Team Sneakers With Special Event

Ewing Eclipse Olympic 2

The retro collection from Ewing Athletics for July features the first-ever return of Patrick Ewing’s sneakers worn during the 1992 Olympics, the Ewing Eclipse. Although the Dream Team was obviously stacked with legendary talent, the only player other than Michael Jordan on the squad to have an official signature model with his name and number on the shoe was Ewing, who wore the patriotic red, white, and blue edition of the Eclipse on the way to Olympic gold. The often-requested Eclipse is back just in time for this summer’s Olympic games, complete with special packaging and a faux gold medal. It will release alongside another OG colorway of the shoe in Black/Red/Navy, each retailing for $120 on July 22nd. The Eclipse will also be launched early at a special event at Alife in NYC (158 Rivington St.) on July 20th from 7-10 PM, with Patrick Ewing himself and Fabolous in attendance for a meet and greet.
