After announcing the launch of its lifestyle-focused category earlier this year in January, Mizuno is set to release the next offering of the Wave Rider 1 re-issue in the original white/red/black colorway from 1998. The Japanese footwear brand debuted this sneaker twenty years ago, making use of the brand’s new Cloud Wave technology as it focused on keeping feet away from flat surfaces and onto a platform that better served the act of running. The Wave Rider 1 retro, of course, initially debuted earlier this year in collaboration with Japanese retailer mita, and we can confirm that several other collaborations are in the works. Currently, the Mizuno Wave Rider 1 is set to drop on March 31st at Mizuno Kazoku retailers (Slam Jam, Patta, Solebox, SNS, Wood Wood, afew, Titolo, Hanon, Footpatrol, One Block Down, 24 Kilates, Sneakers 76, Club 75, and NTR Store).
