Tom Sachs Previews Next Nike Collaboration In Teaser Video

Tom Sachs lays a strong claim to being Nike’s most unusual collaborative partner. The bricolage artist — whose work is mainly inspired by outer space — teamed up with the Swoosh Brand for a special “Mars Yard 2.0” silhouette in 2017, a shoe that was widely lauded as one of the year’s very best releases. Now it looks as if Sachs and Nike are back on the collaborative trail again, as Sachs posted a cryptic “Paradox Bullets” video on his Nikecraft website that nods to his “Ten Bullets” philosophy and briefly shows off a brand-new silhouette. Titled the “Mars Yard Overshoe,” the new silhouette reportedly looks like a high-top moon boot with special Mars Yard touches. It’ll also feature two straps in place of a lacing system, and utilize some of Nike’s newest technology — possibly React foam. They’re also rumored to release in infant’s sizes, so if you’ve got a little astronaut of your own, they’ll be able to get kitted out as well. Expect a drop in October, get a look at more info below, and stay tuned to our Sneaker Release Dates page for further updates as they’re available.
