Where To Buy The Nike Zoom Freak 1 “Coming To America”

Where To Buy The Nike Zoom Freak 1 “Coming To America”

It’s a well-known fact that freshly-minted NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s favorite movie is Eddie Murphy’s 1988 classic Coming To America, so the Swoosh Brand has paid heed to their young superstar’s words, and rolled out the red carpet for a special Nike Zoom Freak 1 “Coming To America” in association with Paramount Pictures. Drawing from the regal shawl worn by Murphy’s Prince Akeem, these unique Nike shoes offer a black mesh base that’s underlaid with leopard print for a bold — but not overpowering — touch of texture and style. The unique detailing doesn’t stop there though, as shimmering gold accents appear on the midsole’s backwards Swoosh and are sprinkled through the midsole/outsole’s translucent piece as well. A furry material on both the tongue and heel tab nods further to Price Hakeem’s opulent wardrobe, while an embroidered “Coming To America” text hit on the tongue and a special insole badge complete the look. They’re no slouch on the performance end of the spectrum either, with a 5/8th cut providing both support and flexibility, while double-stacked Zoom Air in the heel offers comfort and court feel. Giannis’s latest will make its grand premiere on August 2nd for $120 USD, so check a retailer list below to see where you can secure a pair come release day.
