The John Elliott x Nike LeBron Icon Blossoms In “Tulip Pink”

The John Elliott x Nike LeBron Icon Blossoms In “Tulip Pink”

John Elliott and LeBron James‘ lifestyle-oriented Nike LeBron Icon has exclusively utilized simple, elegant palettes thus far, but that’s all set to change this September when it releases in a whimsical “Tulip Pink” style. Although the vivid hues and stripped-back look do call to mind images of Virgil Abloh‘s Off-White x Nike Zoom Fly “Tulip Pink” that released in 2018, these Nike shoes stand in a class of their own. The 5/8 cut upper is constructed of translucent TPE, and mixes various pink hues for a layered look. This stacked-up style is then accented further by an embroidered stripe pattern that wraps around the toebox and is underlaid on the heel. Branding is kept mostly quiet, with only a single Swoosh on the toebox and a tongue text hit to be seen. A soft pink leather sockliner adds premium flair, and more pink appears on the LeBron 8-style Air Max cushioning unit and outsole. The colorway is decidedly more spring than fall, but John and LeBron both have a propensity to do things their own way, so they’ll release on September 13th at John Elliott stockists/September 14th on Nike.com for $250 USD. Enjoy a first look below, and for more news of the monarchial variety be sure to check out the Nike LeBron 17 as well.
