Elliot Santiago Kyrie Irving’s latest Pre-Heat Collection for his recently revealed Nike Kyrie 6 pays tribute to 11 of the NBA athlete’s favorite cities around the world. Showing a measurable amount of love to his fans out east, the All-Star point guard chooses six cities throughout Asia to receive city exclusives, including this upcoming colorway specially made for Shanghai. Deviating from the louder, more vibrant palettes utilized on the Tokyo, Beijing, and Guangzhou editions, these Kyrie 6s bring earth-inspired tones to the forefront. Toe boxes and throat constructions arrive in naturistic olive hues, with the heels and midsoles colored up in lighter beige possibly alluding to the famous water towns and classical gardens of the “Oriental Paris”. In addition, a combination of the aforementioned colors arrive painted against the midsoles/outsoles in an almost unfinished manner. All-over seeing eye graphics remain consistent and ornament the lateral panels in glitchy fashion, followed by a Chinese character embellishment placed on the medial side that reads “Shanghai” to round off its motif.
