The adidas ZX 10.000C Returns In Black And Reflective Green

The adidas ZX 10.000C Returns In Black And Reflective Green

Having once been at the forefront of adidas’ commitment to high-performance functionality, the ZX line has been overshadowed by its EQT and Ultra Boost relatives over the past two decades. And while The Three Stripes Brand shows no sign of diverting its attention away from BOOST, going as far as featuring the cushioning on the ZX Torsion, it’s been more consistent in revisiting archival designs and either retroing them faithfully or borrowing from them to create product that is modern, yet rooted in heritage. Of the latter, the ZX 10.000C is the perfect embodiment given that it was unveiled at adidas’ “ZX – The Roots Of Running” exhibition (2018) as a peek into the future of the Torsion-backed line. Deviating from the light color scheme from its debut in collaboration with Berlin’s Overkill, an upcoming pair of the 10.000C heavily favors a black textile and synthetic construction. “Solar Green” breaks up the covert look as it infiltrates the toe box, branding at the midfoot and tongue, as well as detailing throughout the heel. Furthermore, reflective hits on the forefoot, rear, and additional set of laces included add another degree of flair that’s brand new to the silhouette, but simultaneously embedded in the DNA of all ZX retros.
