HAVEN Revisits Its Reflective New Balance 990v5 With Grey Colorway

Much more than they lead on, HAVEN‘s collaborations tend to exclusively impress via minute details instead of bright coloring, the latter only ever opting for heavily understated palettes. Their newest New Balance collaboration — set forth on the 990v5 silhouette once again — is no exception, as it entirely douses in a range of grey shades with only reflective accents to call vibrant. Seen across the subtle embellishments in the lace, the paneling underlaid behind the mesh toe box and side walls, and, of course, the “N” logo, the brighter hit stands out in bright light against the simple though nuanced paneling of pig suede whose inner lining and heel are wrapped with a luxe Horween leathers. Elsewhere, Cordura outfits with purpose just in between, stamping with the Canadian retailer’s utilitarian signature alongside more literal branding at the footbed.
