Todd Snyder Blends Tennis And Nightlight With The New Balance 997 “Chalk Stripe”

Todd Snyder Blends Tennis And Nightlight With The New Balance 997 “Chalk Stripe”

New Balance has been making a relatively strong statement in 2020 in terms of footwear collaborations as they continue to add more partnerships to their catalog on a weekly basis. And just before they debut their newly designed 327 silhouette alongside Casablanca this weekend, the Boston-based imprint is summoning one of their long-time collaborators in Todd Snyder to cap off the work week with a new release. Last seen working together this past December on a 997 reflective of the New York Hudson Train Station, the two parties are bringing the very same silhouette back into the spotlight, only this time, they’ve prepared this latest variation with a motif representative of seventies fashion trends. Fittingly entitled the “Chalk Stripe, this iteration’s bases are reworked with a premium white snakeskin texture, and come with overlaying lighter grey suede panels that are meant to speak to the elevated minimalism oft-seen on tennis stars who preferred to look just as stylish on the court, as they did on the disco dance floors. Additional accents by way of subtle beige hits are fastened to the heel molds and and midsole branding for a subtle pop of color. If you’re interested in picking up a pair, these limited edition kicks will be available exclusively at ToddSnyder.com tomorrow, April 17th for $230 USD.

In other news, here’s a better look at the upcoming Yeezy 700 MNVN Bone dropping on 4/25.
