Up Close With The Off-White x Air Jordan 4 via Stadium Goods

Although without any collaborative sneaker releases since NBA All-Star weekend, Virgil Abloh has taken the past several weeks to focus more on charitable work in an effort to raise money to support the next generation of black youth. And after raising upwards of $1.1M for the causes (*applauds), the creative designer is now ready to once again focus on his fashion initiatives, one of the most significant being his latest venture with the Jumpman.

Slowly transitioning from one classic silhouette to the next, Abloh and his magnum opus Off-White, are in preparation to deliver their newest take atop the Air Jordan 4. Dubbed the “Sail” colorway, this forthcoming iteration was first previewed on the sample-filled table during his MCA Chicago exhibition, and later walked the runway at his Paris Fashion Week F/W 2020 show which essentially confirmed that a public release was on the way. Arguably the cleanest Off-White x Jordan collaboration to-date, the pair is guided by a tonal motif, employing titular hues along its entire upper, only deviating in material between its leather bases, suede mudguards, and netted film that runs along the forefoot/toe tips. Its caging and heel molds match up in translucent construction, the latter of which hosts the more-favored “Nike Air” branding. Signature Helvetica branding land in their usual spots including that of the “AIR” hits printed above the bubble, while the Beaverton origins dress up the medial panel. An official release is slated for July 25th on Nike.com for $200 USD, but if you catch an L, Stadium Goods will have them available on the very same day.

In other news, the Air Max 1 Anniversary Hunter Green drops on July 30th.
