Nike Adds Volt Decals To The Waffle Racer 2X

Futurism, in Nike’s context, seems to be marked by many a neon tone and reserved deconstruction — all coming together to form a relatively vast set of reframed retro staples. The Waffle Racer 2X, which loosely follows the example of the Daybreak Type that appeared before it, is the latest to undergo transformation; the end product delivering a contemporary runner thinly veiled with vintage ethos. Its latest colorway, whose palette is marked significantly by neutrals, provides suede overlays a dark cream while the ripstop base is coated in brighter optical white. Swooshes lie along the profile in thick outline, the piping dressed atop with white zig-zag stitching. Oversized toolings complement in their two-piece construction, running parallel to the Volt racing stripe that accents the mid-panel. Grab a detailed look at these here and sit tight for more word on its upcoming Nike.com release.
