This Mugunghwa-Inspired Air Max 95 Is Blooming In Elemental Pink Suedes and Velours

As demonstrated by the upcoming “Pomegranate” collection, which includes an embroidered fruit branch on a Blazer Mid, the beauty of flora hasn’t gone unnoticed by Nike’s design team. The next pair to embrace flower power is a tonal “Elemental Pink” Air Max 95 that features motifs of Korea’s national flower, the mugunghwa.

This isn’t the first time the silhouette is getting a floral makeover. For its 25th anniversary last year, a forsythia-clad velcro Air Max 95 “Pollen Rise” was released as a Korea-exclusive, while Japan received the Air Max 95 “Cherry Blossom”. While these two pairs use bold appliques and patterns respectively to showcase flowers, the new pair features Korea’s hibiscus blossom as a small graphic printed on the heel and hidden away on the insole. It also opts for drenching the entire model in an “Elemental Pink” shade that alludes to the flower’s color. The suede overlays may be nothing new, but the velour-covered tongue adds to the unique factor while introducing another soft texture to the design.

The pair is available now at Nike Korea. Details regarding a North America release have yet to be released.
