Insider: Kristin Chenoweth Dazzles… Reebok Readies Flex

Star Power
ShoeDazzle.com is at it again. The online styling service co-founded by Kim Kardashian just announced its latest celebrity collaboration, this time with Kristin Chenoweth. The Tony- and Emmy-winning actress designed a gray bootie called Little Diva. “I was thrilled when Shoe Dazzle approached me to design a shoe,” Chenoweth told Insider. “Singing and acting have always been my passions, but fashion designing was an exhilarating experience.” The Little Diva will be available on Dec. 7 at ShoeDazzle.com for $40. All proceeds from the shoe will benefit the Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute, an organization dedicated to better adoption policies and practices. “Being able to be creative and fashionable for a cause so close to my heart really was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” she said. “I hope all the ladies out there love [it].”

Flex Time
Reebok was crowned king of the marketing realm at the FN Achievement Awards ceremony this week, but the Canton, Mass.-based brand is already thinking about next year’s push. That’s the word from Reebok North America President Jim Gabel, who chatted with Insider at the cocktail reception before the event. While the company will still push EasyTone and ZigTech, Gabel said, Reebok is set to launch its new, ultra-flexible ReeFlex performance line next year. “You will see Zig-like marketing around Flex, but we don’t want to just keep following the same formula,” Gabel said, downplaying a suggestion that Flex ads might follow the Zig path of focusing on Reebok’s marquee athletes. “If you’re going to be a leadership brand, you have to keep looking into ways to excite the consumer, and you’ll see that with Flex.”
