On Pedder to Open First Men’s Store

Luxury accessories retailer On Pedder will open its first men’s location early next month.

The 1,500-sq.-ft. store, which will house men’s footwear and accessories, will be situated in the basement floor of The Landmark, in central Hong Kong.

“The core of On Pedder men’s is strongly represented by [our] footwear categories,” said Peter Harris, president of Hong Kong-based Pedder Group, which operates On Pedder, as well as Lane Crawford’s accessories business and mono-brand shops for Christian Louboutin, Stuart Weitzman and others. “The [men’s] buying teams have not defined their customer by price or brand, but by lifestyle. We want to offer footwear and accessories choices that are contemporary, purposeful and beautiful.”

The men’s store brand roster will include more than 50 luxury labels including Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, Dries Van Noten and Giuseppe Zanotti, in addition to more contemporary options from Common Projects, Mr. Hare and MSGM.

“[The store] is based on the idea of the modern man’s apartment and is divided into a living and gallery space,” said Harris. “The living space features a fireplace, wooden floors and is furnished with contemporary living room pieces.”

Pedder Group currently has 50 points of sale across greater China and Southeast Asia, with locations in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing and Singapore.

The Hong Kong location is set to open Nov. 3.
