Industry Moves: August 2015

August 31, 2015:  Wolverine World Wide Inc. appointed Chip Coe managing director of its EMEA region, replacing Dan Le Vesconte.

August 20, 2015: Non-profit footwear organization Soles4Souls Inc. has named Brian Ehrig, a partner in Kurt Salmon’s retail and consumer products group, to its board of directors.

August 19, 2015: Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. appointed Wan Ling Martello to serve as an independent director on the company’s board of directors. Martello is currently Nestlé S.A.’s EVP for Asia, Oceania and Sub-Saharan Africa.

August 18, 2015: Hudson’s Bay Co. named former Kohl’s Corp. and Target Corp. executive Janet Schalk as its new CIO.

August 6, 2015: Neil Cole, founder, CEO, president and chairman of Iconix Brand Group Inc. resigned from his posts at the company. Board member Peter Cuneo has been named as the interim CEO and chairman of the board.

August 4, 2015:  Alibaba Group announced the appointment of Michael Evans, former partner at  investment banking firm Goldman Sachsas president, effective immediately.

August 3, 2015: J.C. Penney Co. Inc. named Mike Robbins its new SVP of supply chain, effective Aug. 10.  Robbins most recently served as SVP of global supply chain for Target Corp.

August 3, 2015: J.C. Penney Co. Inc. has hired Michael Amend, former VP of online, mobile and omnichannel at The Home Depot, as EVP of omnichannel, effective Aug. 4.
