Adidas High School Fashionistas Show Off Their Originals Superstar Looks

Continuing its push to expand its Originals campaign, which has also included Pharrell Williams and creative influencers, Adidas has asked 10 female fashion and design students from the Los Angeles area to style the Adidas Originals Women’s Superstar lookbook. The students are all members of their high schools’ chapters of the FIDM Fashion Club, sponsored by California’s Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.

The students came together last weekend to create their vision of an Adidias Superstar ensemble, led by blogger Aleali May. Each student styled one look featuring the Adidas Orignals Superstar sneaker and revealed them in a gallery show last Friday in Los Angeles.

“Handing over the reins to the Women’s Superstar conversation is effortless given that women across the nation have already taken the brand’s most iconic shoe and own it in their everyday lives,” said Brandon Beaty, director of brand communications for Adidas Originals.

Beaty said partnering with the students was a natural way to “see the Superstar live and breathe socially.”

In addition to the gallery exhibit, the images will be released soon in a hardcover book commemorating the project.
