Finish Line Looks To Expand Indianapolis Campus

Indianapolis-based Finish Line is making expansion plans for its local distribution center and headquarters to support its continued pace of growth.

The retailer filed a request with Indianapolis for a tax abatement, saying that $1.3 million in investments in new technology and machinery will result in 100 new corporate and distribution jobs by 2020. The new developments would help to fulfill online orders and support its run-specialty division growth would average $19 an hour.

Earlier this week, the Finish Line went before the development commission to get an initial approval on the tax abatement request.  The initial tax request was approved and later in September the project would be up for a second and final approval.

Finish Line is expected to report its quarterly earnings Sept. 25.
