The NBA is capitalizing on league buzz and is set to open a new 25,000-square-foot store in New York.
The league closed its Manhattan store four years ago and has been searching for the right location since. It will be the only U.S. flagship location for the NBA.
The new location, at Fifth Avenue and 45th Street in Manhattan, is scheduled to open next week according to WWD. The new location will feature interactive screens for fans throughout the store and will highlight real-time social media feedback and team updates.
There is s a large section dedicated to footwear too: around 250 styles will be offered in store.
Additionally the store will feature some exclusive styles, memorabilia and collectibles, and on the second floor, there will be a complete kids’ collection for all 30 teams and women’s apparel and home items. The new store will also feature a big and tall section.
