Skechers Opens Second Store In New York’s Times Square

Skechers has taken a bigger bite out of the Big Apple.

The California-based brand just bowed a second retail store in New York’s bustling Times Square district. Spanning 2,453 square feet, the new door marks the debut of a sleek new store design for the brand. Highlights include black granite tiled floors, LED-lit shelves, large-scale graphics and state-of-the-art audio/video presentations.

The store features Skechers’ full assortment of lifestyle and performance footwear, apparel and accessories for adults and children, and includes special concept areas such as a Performance shop and Kids Fun Zone.

“As an international brand, we felt we could increase [our] success and growth with two retail locations in Times Square, one of the highest-traffic destinations on the planet,” said Skechers President Michael Greenberg. “This store is a terrific opportunity to double our presence among the hundreds of thousands of tourists and residents who visit this iconic New York destination every day.”

Greenberg added that the store opening caps a banner year for the brand, founded in 1992.
