Clarks Americas Inc., is moving into new state-of-the art digs. The subsidiary of C&J Clarks Limited of Somerset, England, announced that it is building a new corporate headquarters in Waltham, Mass., with a move-in date slated for fall 2016. The headquarters is now in Newton Upper Falls, Mass.
The offices, located at 1265 Main St., will be in a four-story single-tenant building. Construction will begin this month, with the building expected to be certified as LEED Silver, a reflection of its energy efficiency and use of recycled materials.
The space will feature an expansive roof deck, a 5,000-sq.-ft. private outdoor terrace, an employee retail store, an employee fitness center, 50-foot skylights and covered parking.
“We’re thrilled to announce the new location of our corporate office at 1265 Main at CityPoint and are looking forward to the many advantages it will provide our people and business,” said Geralyn R. Breig, president of Clarks Americas.

Boston Properties is the lead developer of the property. The interior design contract was awarded to ADD Inc., now with Stantec. The exterior design was awarded to Spagnolo Gisness & Associates Inc. Both teams are based in Boston.
Clarks’ employees will also play a key role in the design and aesthetic of the building, with a committee made up of cross-functional personnel already meeting regularly.
