Public School And Air Jordan Celebrate Launch Of Sneaker Collab

Sneakerheads, rejoice. Public School and Air Jordan officially unveiled their collaboration on Thursday night. Designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne were on hand to debut the unisex collection at Terminal 23 in New York.

The athletic ready-to-wear and shoes were worn by models on a basketball court, where they emphasized the line’s functionality via sharp movements like jumping and hip-hop dancing. The seven-piece clothing collection includes two footwear styles: a grey nubuck Air Jordan XII and a new Air Jordan model, the Jordan Horizon, featuring a knitted upper. Both are finished with Public School’s PSNY logo.

Notable guests included CFDA board member Jenna Lyons — who awarded Public School the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund award in 2013 — as well as models Chanel Iman and Grace Mahary.

This isn’t the first time Public School has collaborated with Air Jordan. Back in March, the two teamed up on a black and red Air Jordan 10 sneaker.

The latest collection will be available on Dec. 12 at Jordan.com, as well as select Jordan retail stores. The shoes will retail for $225 and $300.
