Teva Stores Launch DIY Sandal Customization

Teva is letting shoppers reveal their inner artist.

The brand, known for its water-friendly sandals and casual looks, is kicking off a series of do-it-yourself events at select retailers across the country. Five stores will host one-day gatherings for shoppers to customize their favorite Teva sandals. Participation is free with a sandal purchase.  Crafting supplies will be available on-site, courtesy of Teva.

Customers will be able to choose from styles that include the spring ’15 Original collection and the new Flatform series. To help guide would-be artists through the process, a local design-and-style influencer will be available at each location to offer inspiration.

“The Teva brand is all about accessibility, versatility and, most importantly, personalization,” said Erika Brakken, director of marketing. “We want our fans to see our sandals as a canvas for them to express their own original style — and that’s why we created these experiences to encourage customization and creativity. We pull a lot of inspiration from how our consumers choose to rock their Teva sandals.”
