Front Row At John Varvatos’ Spring 2016 Show

Fashion Week always draws some of the most stylish faces and famous names, and the inaugural New York Fashion Week: Men’s didn’t disappoint.

John Varvatos, a champion of bringing a New York season for menswear, closed the week with a star-studded show. In his front row we spotted everyone from Tyson Beckford to Christian Slater and Johnny Galecki.

The designer is a such a music fan that he has his own recording label. So music took center stage at his after-party at the Electric Room, with legendary music photographer Mick Rock on hand, as well as Chad Smith.

Throughout the week, the Men’s Fashion Week ambassadors — Darren Criss, Joe Jonas, Dwyane Wade, Victor Cruz, Andy Cohen, Tyson Beckford, Casey Neistat and Marcus Samuelsson — were spotted out and about.

One of the noticeable trends of the week was the presence of athletes, especially NBA and NFL players.

“Dwyane Wade and Victor Cruz … inspire men across America with their sartorial decisions and are great fashion ambassadors,” said CFDA President Steven Kolb. “Like Hollywood actors and musicians, many American athletes are celebrities here. It therefore made perfect sense to have them be a part of the inaugural New York Fashion Week: Men’s.”

In addition to Cruz and Wade, Amar’e Stoudemire, Nick Young and Andre Iguodala attended the shows, as did Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton.
