Hayek’s cause is Chime for Change, which she co-founded with Beyoncé and Gucci. During the event, her speech focused on women in Hollywood and change in the industry. “These romantic comedies aren’t working anymore. Why? We changed! But no one took the time to change with us,” she said, according to Variety.

Kendrick spoke about LGBT teens and the Trevor Project, while Paltrow talked about empowering women and her cause, L.A. Kitchen.
