Pink Kids’ Shoes For Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October marks Breast Cancer Awareness month, and while many adult brands are offering shoes for sale to help raise money for breast cancer charities, kiddos also have the chance to take part in showing their support by thinking pink.

Popular pink-hued kids’ shoes this season include Sophia Webster Baby’s Chiara Mini Butterfly Glitter Mary Janes, and the designer’s hot-pink polka-dot Yoyo sandal with laser-cut straps. These shoes are fun, whimsical and perfect for toddlers, and with the splash of blush shades, the help in raising awareness for the cause.

For a more edgy look, Dr. Martens offers its Brooklee boot in all-pink. And Nike also has its iconic Air Force 1s crib shoe available in hot pink with black and white accents.

And if you happen to be shopping for a pair of children’s pink Hunter boots or toddler Ugg boots, you can double the impact during Breast Cancer Awareness month by making your purchase at Lord & Taylor. The retailer is kicking off October with a special charity day on Oct. 3 in every Lord & Taylor store nationwide.

As part of the Lord & Taylor event, shoppers who purchase a $5 ticket will receive two coupons for 30 percent off a single item, one coupon for 20 percent off storewide and 10 percent off cosmetics and fragrances. Proceeds from the ticket will benefit local cancer charities. There will also be a special fashion presentation honoring cancer survivors — details vary based on the store. Stores will be open 9 a.m. – 11 p.m., and customers can purchase tickets in-store through Oct. 3.

Another retailer doing its part this month to support the cause is Macy’s. The department store is teaming up with the Pink Pony Fund — The Polo Ralph Lauren Foundation’s initiative in the fight against cancer — by offering a collection T-shirts, tanks, polos, sweatpants and more that change Polo Ralph Lauren shops into Pink Pony destinations in 48 Macy’s locations. Twenty-five percent of the purchase price of all Pink Pony items sold by Macy’s will benefit the Pink Pony Fund.
