Celebrities, Designers & Sports Stars Share Their Favorite Songs To Sing In The Shower

Ever wonder what tunes top shoe players, celebrities and athletes sing when they are letting loose? At the 2015 FN Achievement Awards we found out.

During the celebrity packed event, sponsored by FFANY, Zappos Couture and FDRA, Spy took the opportunity to round up the top songs the industry sings while in the shower.

Prabal Gurung“I’m sure everyone said this, but ‘Hello’ by Adele. I went to see her at Radio City and she was amazing.”

Ken Downing, Fashion Director, Neiman Marcus: “There is a lot of music I’m listening to, because I’m always curating music for fashion shows. Right now, I’m listening to Jermaine Stuarts ‘We don’t have to take our clothes off to have a good time’ from the 80’s. I love a good retro rerun when it comes to fashion and when it comes to music too.”

Sage Steel: “I sing a lot of my old 90’s hip-hop songs in the shower. I’m a big Dr. Dre, Biggie Smalls and Tupac fan, but I can’t sing [their songs] when my kids are around.”

Libby Edelman: “It’s weird, especially if it’s someone’s birthday, I sing, it’s your birthday, it’s your birthday.”

Sam Edelman: “Hallelujah.”

Melissa Costa, Zappos: “I have many! But we’ll just talk about today. Frank Sinatra, “’Fly Me To The Moon.’”

Kevin Plank, Under Armour: “It’s a song that when I did the five-city tour through Asia with Stephen Curry, it became our theme song throughout the trip, which is ‘I Really, Really, Really Like You’ [Carly Rae Jepsen]. The title is close enough, it’s the chorus.”
