London Fashion Week Spring 2016: Top Shoe Collaborations

Now that the fashion set is officially moving on to Milan Fashion Week, there are a number of shoe partnerships from London Fashion Week to take in.

London’s runways featured a number of standout footwear collaborations, with styles from established players like Manolo Blahnik to smaller, emerging designers.

Here are a few of the top spring ’16 shoe collaborations to look out for:

Manolo Blahnik x Gareth Pugh
This was an unlikely partnership, but Gareth Pugh looked to Manolo Blahnik’s simpler designs to counteract his more outlandish, theatrical ready-to-wear. Strappy sandals and ankle-strap pumps were done in various patent leathers.

Emilia Wickstead x Paul Andrew
Following Paul Andrew’s collaborations in New York with Tanya Taylor and Rosie Assoulin, the designer teamed up with Emilia Wickstead this season. Pointy flats were offered in blush pink and tangerine, as well as in a floral print.

Dorateymur x Osman
Dorateymur, one of FN’s 20 emerging designers to know, collaborated with Osman this season. The shoes included flat slip-on mules in various patents and silks. The standout style was a below-the-knee silk boot with printed stripes.

Christian Louboutin
Louboutin’s signature red soles made their appearance in London as well. The designer collaborated with Holly Fulton and Jonathan Saunders.

Clarks x Christopher Raeburn
Not all collabos have to be ultra luxe: British heritage brand Clarks provided crisscross sandals with ankle straps for Christopher Raeburn’s latest show.

Chelsea Paris x Jean-Pierre Braganza
Chelsea Paris designer Theresa Ebagua lent her designs to the Jean-Pierre Braganza show. Cage sandals were done in Mondrian-inspired colorways, with various pops of color.

Tabitha Simmons designed below-the-knee laceup heeled boots for the Roksanda Ilincic show. The styles were striped in various pastel shades.

Mary Katrantzou x Gianvito Rossi
Continuing their ongoing partnership, Gianvito Rossi once again designed the shoes for Mary Katrantzou’s runway show. They included embossed-snakeskin mules as well as pointy leather boots with buckling, some in patent, others in a printed satin.
