Over the past few seasons, the Raf Simons Adidas Stan Smith has become a staple shoe seen during the designer’s runway shows. For spring ’16, Simons is shaking up the classic yet again with the Raf Simons x Adidas Stan Smith Strap style. Simons’ design echoes the original Velcro straps that appeared on the style in the 1980s. The shoe will be offered in black-and-white, forest green-and-white and blue-and-red. The looks are a total throwback, but mixed with Simons’ inventive style.
For those who wish to look ahead rather than back, the designer also updated the Stan Smith in futuristic light copper and silver. That style will also be offered in blush yellow, ash pink and night marine. Black-and-white leather styles were given the vintage treatment to create a cool, aged look.
The Ozweego 2 and Response Trail 2 silhouettes are also being updated for spring ’16. The Ozweego’s running-inspired look comes in khaki, deep green, and a black, blue, and brown. The Response Trail 2 will allow wearers to switch things up — each pair comes with two plastic heel-quarter guards to create a newfangled look with each wear. The sneaker will come in white-and-green and a red-and-blue colorways. True to form, Simons continues to come up with ways to freshen up a coveted, classic brand.

The styles will be available in mid-Febrary 2016 at the Adidas concept stores in Paris and Berlin, as well as select boutiques worldwide.
