Rebecca And Uri Minkoff To Unveil Flagship in L.A.

Rebecca and Uri Minkoff are landing in Los Angeles — in a major way.

The brother-sister act will open their largest store globally in L.A. on Aug. 27. It will use the same “store of the future concept” — complete with Ebay technology — that the Minkoffs have already rolled out in New York and San Francisco.

“We have had the advantage of having participated, with great foresight, in the fashion and tech dialogue from the very beginning, which gave us great knowledge and access to partnerships that made this dream store into a reality,” said Uri Minkoff, CEO and co-founder of Rebecca Minkoff. “The amount of detail and embedded tech that has gone into this retail embodiment has given us the opportunity to reach our ultimate goal in catering to next generation shoppers.”

The 4,600-sq.-ft. space will be located at 8335 Melrose Avenue. Among the highlights of the new boutique are a 750-sq.-ft space called Minkoff Projects that will serve as a gallery for rotating art, music and technology concepts. The store will also feature a dedicated space for athleisure, Rebecca Minkoff’s newest category.

“This store, in particular, represents the millennial woman and her approach to shopping — it was designed to personally identify with our customer,” said Rebecca Minkoff.

The opening also marks a big moment for Uri Minkoff, the recently-launched men’s collection designed by its namesake. The brand will have its own entrance within the larger flagship.

The Minkoffs’ retail expansion doesn’t stop here. Rebecca Minkoff will open a tech-driven store in Chicago later this year.
