Jordan Announces Release Date For Drake’s OVO Edition Kicks

Jordan Brand took to its Twitter account on Thursday to announce the much-anticapated release date for Drake‘s Air Jordan OVO edition sneakers. The Air Jordan 10 OVO is set to hit stores on Sept. 12.

This isn’t the first time fans will be seeing the sneaker. When Drake signed with Nike in 2013, the rapper posted his OVO x Jordan 10 sample pack on Instagram.

Flash-forward to April 2015, when the OVO x Air Jordan 10 Retro was released at an OVO pop-up store in Los Angeles to much surprise. The kicks were available in both black and white, featuring stingray-leather detailing and golden accents, and were reportedly sold for $225.

Drake has now confirmed the global release date with an Instagram post showing the white/metallic gold-white color way of the sneaker as an ad, complete with the OVO owl and Jumpman logo.

Michael Jordan’s most recent signature shoe release, the Air Jordan 1.5, hit shelves on July 25. The sneaker uses the Air Jordan 1 High upper with an Air Jordan II sole, with a red, white and black upper and a white-and-red outsole. It retails for $150.

This weekend, the Air Jordan 11 Retro Low Cobalt, scheduled for release on Saturday, features a white-and-cement gray upper with a white-and-icy translucent outsole. The shoe also boasts cobalt blue on the Jumpman logo on the shoe’s tongue and bottom. It has a retail price of $170.
