Vans, & Other Stories Collaborate On Shoes For Spring

Vans and European retailer & Other Stories have collaborated on three footwear styles for the spring ’15 season.

The collection includes two takes on the classic Vans slip-on at $140, done in black and white polkadots and a minimal beige colorway, as well as a beige Old Skool mid-top sneaker at $155. They will be available in stores and online in mid April.

“It’s been super interesting to work with Vans’ classic styles and interpret them in an & Other Stories way,” said Nicole Wilson, footwear designer at & Other Stories, in a release. “Clashing the history of skater shoes with a more feminine approach, and using colors and materials inspired by our spring ’15 collection.”

“The & Other Stories’ girl is close to the Vans’ girl,” added Camille Thin, Vans’ footwear production manager. “She uses her personal style as expression of herself, and sneakers have regained their place in her wardrobe.”

Each pair of shoes will also come equipped with its own canvas bag, featuring a drawstring closure and leather shoulder straps.

& Other Stories has collaborated on shoes with other brands in the past, including London designer Richard Braqo, Lykke Li and Clare Vivier. As for Vans, the brand has made collaborations a strong focus, with partnerships ranging from Kenzo to director Harmony Korine (just to name a few).
