Sneakers are making a bold entrance into spring ’16. Men’s designers are adding zest to the seasons low-silhouette sneakers with high-impact prints, a trend that was also seen in the ready-to-wear collections.
High-end brands presented different prints in all shapes and colors, but were unified via a focus on the low-top silhouette (perhaps a print in the high-top sneaker caused too much busyness).
Loewe matched its sneakers with comic book-inspired prints, also used on its ready-to-wear and handbags. The same motif went for several other brands—meaning the more graphic, the better.
Givenchy took a black and white star print—also used in head-to-toe looks—and transferred it onto its signature slip-on style. Bally continued with the colorless theme, using a chevron print in its “Odone” lace-up sneaker.

Other brands took a more colorful approach to prints. Christopher Kane used multicolor stripes on its neoprene athletic-inspired runners, while Jimmy Choo and Pierre Hardy went for graphic pop-art shapes.
