With the plethora of sui generis shoe statements for fall ’15, packing light is an impossible predicament. And with this much goodness to choose from, why not couple up and take a subtly coordinated approach to his ’n’ her dressing?

Fashionable pairings — of the footwear and romantic kind — kickstarted this storyline. “I was fixated on the idea of a hot couple who are always in sync with each other, right down to their complementary shoes,” said FN Fashion Director Mosha Lundström Halbert, who styled models Jenna and Taylor in everything from Western looks to sneakers. Of course, a setting was needed that spelled weekend tryst. Bookings editor Tricia Vangessel was charged with scouting an intimate New York nook. “The Marlton Hotel has a cozy elegance and lots of natural light,” she said of the jewel-box hot spot. A perfect match, indeed.
“The powder-room shot [detail above] was not planned. We just ran out of room for all the shoes! But once Jenna stood in place, it was too good not to shoot,” said photographer Rodolfo Martinez.
