Iggy Azalea vs. Britney Spears: The Shoe-Down

After weeks of built-up fan anticipation, Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea released their new collaboration track, “Pretty Girls,” on iTunes today. The cheeky track — which delivers lyrics like “all around the world, pretty girls, wipe the floor with all the boys” — calls for a classic FN shoe-down.

While both megastars have the same cocky confidence featured on the single, Azalea and Spears have distinctively different shoe styles on the red carpet.

Azalea is known for her risk-taking fashion choices, which includes her footwear choices. Her go-to stage styles include sporty sneakers in metallic or all-white colorways. The singer also often amps up her style with sky-high platforms, like the John Galliano shoes she wore to the 2014 MTV Movie Awards.

In Spears’ corner, the pop icon opts for designer footwear in safer, more classic silhouettes. A frequent wearer of Saint Laurent’s platform pumps, Spears goes for skyscraper silhouettes in solid-colored leathers. One standout pair: the nude Giuseppe Zanotti pumps she wore to 40th annual People’s Choice Awards.
