Golden Globes: Eddie Redmayne Wins Best Actor in Gucci

The results are in, and Eddie Redmayne is going home as Best Actor in a Drama. To accept his prize for “The Theory of Everything,” the star wore Gucci matte patent lace-ups at the 2015 Golden Globes.

Meanwhile, Michael Keaton topped his category as the Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for “Birdman” and hit the stage in Christian Louboutin velvet smoking slippers. Nominee David Oyelowo of “Selma” was caught in Jimmy Choo‘s “Sloane” loafer.

Big award winner and officially off the market actor George Clooney, who was honored with the Cecil B. DeMille award, walked the carpet in Giorgio Armani with wife Amal Alamuddin.

John Legend also took the stage in leather lace-ups, while accepting for Best Original Song in “Selma.” Other A-list male attendees included Kit Harrington in Jimmy Choo.

The men’s market continues to up the fashion ante. The good news for FN is that it’s easier to spot the footwear looks without long gowns (beautiful ones, of course) blocking our view. Last year at the Globes, Matthew McConaughey was one of the men of the hour — “all right, all right, all right,” anyone? The actor walked away with the Best Actor in a Drama award for his work in “Dallas Buyer’s Club” in a tailored head-to-toe look by Dolce & Gabbana.

Leonardo DiCaprio, who won Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for “Wolf of Wall Street,” opted for a similar black patent lace-up look. Several other male stars followed suit, including Chiwetel Ejiofor of “12 Years a Slave” in Chorale by Christian Louboutin. And Usher was spotted in Calvin Klein shoes.
