Cheryl Burke is taking her dancing feet to QVC Presents “FFANY Shoes on Sale,” which raises funds for breast-cancer research. The self-proclaimed “heels girl” will attend the festivities on Oct. 19 and help promote the QVC sale on the evening of Oct. 22. Here, Burke shares her shoe secrets with Spy.
Why did you want to get involved with Shoes on Sale?
“I believe in the empowerment of women, and I appreciate that this event sheds light on such a serious epidemic while pairing it with something we all love: shoes.”
What are you most excited about?
“I’m a girl who loves shoes and a good deal. That, combined with the charity cause.”
What footwear brands are you a fan of?

“I have so many different designers in my closet right now, but I tend to wear Steve Madden, Tom Ford and Christian Louboutin a lot. I also love my Forever 21 shoes.”
How would you describe your personal shoe style?
“I’m a heels girls until the day I die. I must have a heel, whether it’s a wedge, a stiletto or a platform — but they have to be comfortable.”
Is there a shoe trend you refuse to try?
“I can’t get on board with clogs. They don’t even look comfortable to me.”
