‘Pretty Woman’ Cast Reunites for 25th Anniversary + Julia Roberts’ Shoe Style

The cast of “Pretty Woman” reunites on NBC’s “Today” show tomorrow morning — and there’s certainly a lot to reminisce about. Who can forget those PVC thigh-high boots from the opening scene?

Roberts, who plays prostitute Vivian in the 1990 hit, wears the boots with her daring blue-and-white cutout dress when she meets Edward Lewis (Richard Gere) in the opening scene. She even uses a black marker to color the scuffed-up heels.

Other memorable fashion moments include Vivian’s unforgettable trip to Boulmiche, a posh Beverly Hills boutique, where she is snubbed by the ultra-snobby sales clerks. A day later, a dressed-up Vivian returns to the store and teaches the stunned staff a valuable lesson. “Big mistake, huge mistake,” she tells them of their behavior a day before strutting out of the store and spending major money elsewhere.

While Vivian’s fashion transformation takes some time on screen, Julia Roberts has always been a style icon.

She is the face of Givenchy for spring ’15 and has wowed on the red carpet for decades. In 1990, she collected her Golden Globe for “Steel Magnolias” in a oversized men’s suit and later appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone in a double-denim look.

She wore a memorable black-and-white Valentino sheath when she won her Oscar for “Erin Brockovich.”

For her recent turns on the red carpet, Robert has stuck with largely classic looks.
