Super Bowl Halftime Show: Katy Perry’s Best Shoe Looks & More From the Performance

Katy Perry kicked off halftime with a with a roar.

The 30-year-old singer unleashed a medley of her top hits at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show. Wearing glittery custom LaDuca boots throughout the performance, Perry started the show atop a giant gold lion. Perry’s LaDucas were embellished with 12,600 Swarovski crystals and were made for dancing. (The label has also designed custom heels for the Rockettes’ show numbers.)

The “Teenage Dream” singer, whose wardrobe was created by fashion friend Jeremy Scott, tapped Lenny Kravitz to collaborate on the performance of her first single, “I Kissed A Girl.” Kravitz kept it casual in a leather jacket (sans shirt), jeans and suede boots from Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane. (Because you don’t get cooler than Lenny.)

But it was Missy Elliott who took home the honor of halftime MVP.

Wearing Giuseppe Zanotti high-tops, Elliott stormed through “Get Ur Freak On,” “Work It” and “Lose Control,” with Perry looking just as obsessed as the rest of us with her guest star. In case you missed it, there were also dancing sharks, palm trees and futuristic horse heads.

“I just arrived in New York, I turned my T.V. on and I saw Missy Elliott rocking my sneakers during her performance,” Guiseppe Zanotti told FN. “It is always an honor when I see my shoes on stage – music has always been my passion and part of my D.N.A.”

Perry got plenty of encouragement across social media, including tweets from Diplo, whom she was said to be dating last year, as well as ex-husband Russell Brand.

For the singer’s part, she ended her star-studded Super Bowl with a tattoo to commemorate the night:
